Telehealth Therapy for Children with Behavioural Problems
Welcome to Parent-Child Psychology!
We are Kristy and Maddy, both clinical psychologists dedicated to providing effective and compassionate care to children and their families who are struggling with behavioural challenges. At Parent-Child Psychology we are passionate about connecting with families and utilising our many years of experience to improve family functioning, increase parental confidence, reduce disruptive child behaviour, and set children up for a bright future.

Telehealth Therapy for Children with Behavioural Problems
We provide Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which is not your typical sit with a psychologist treatment. When children are young it makes sense that they do not see a psychologist one on one. You spend more time with your child, so it is more appropriate to empower you with the skills to improve your child’s behaviour.
Telehealth PCIT (iPCIT) brings therapy directly into your home, the very environment where parenting unfolds in all its complexity. This unique approach lets us see the real deal—the everyday challenges, routines, and interactions that shape family dynamics.
By working with you in your natural setting, we gain deeper insights into the authentic moments that matter most, helping us provide support that’s practical, effective, and tailored to your real-life needs. All you need is a device, a stable internet connection, and wireless headphones.

Children’s Challenging Behaviour

Disruptive behaviours become increasingly difficult to change as a child gets older, so early intervention is important. We provide practical, evidence-based strategies to help you stay calm and composed during challenging moments, reducing the emotional stress that parenting can bring.
Our goal is to boost your confidence while equipping you with proven techniques to manage and reduce your child’s disruptive behaviours effectively. Through ‘in-the-moment’ coaching, we guide you in applying these skills in real time, offering support and guidance as you navigate tough situations.
